Motor City FC put things into Overdrive last night at The Garage at the expense of last place San Jose Ete.
Stalwart midfield play led to The Cars maintaining 58% of possession and allowing only two chances to threat Charlie Sumpter's third clean sheet of the year. He said he was concerned about staying ready when chances were so limited however.
"It was great to see that kind of support, but at the same point those kinds of games are dangerous because you can easily become complacent and next you know a shot you should have had goes by you," he said.
This game makes new manager Zhalajadar Kalmuratov's record 1-0-1 since taking over.
"Its nice to get a win, but let's remember who we were playing, we have some tough games ahead. Let's see how we fair in those before we start planning the parade," he said.
The mid-week game sees MCFC travel to Arizona to take on 11 drunks in its Cup quest and then another trip west to face the Fullerton Rovers.
